Eileen Carey is a singer-songwriter based in Altadena, California. Her newest single, This Is Where, talks about two people who outgrew each other, and the grace of recognizing that as something other than failure. The lyrics are relatable, making them so powerful.
I love the arrangement here, which has some lovely country-pop textures underpinning it. The vocals sound impressive, showing real emotion. Every note resonates with the soul. Basically, be prepared to be blown away.
This Is Where feels like a natural, fully realised expression of everything Eileen Carey does best. She should definitely be rewarded with flowers for being so artistic. Check out the song!
