Stockholm-based artist Alice Ester has spent years creating music behind the scenes, quietly shaping stories through songwriting and collaboration. Now she’s ready to step into the spotlight herself and show what she truly stands for creatively. Her debut single, Secrets, steals the show.
The song explores the journey of someone who became lost from themselves and emotionally distant, only to return seeking forgiveness and connection. As they reflect on their fears, mistakes, and personal growth, they realize that while they have finally found their way home, the person they left behind may have already moved on.
I find the instrumentation brilliant here. Perhaps a bit classical, but it still holds enough interest thanks to its progression. The vocals are a convincing factor and give the narrative extra weight.
