Swiss-Brazilian Laura Gabriela is a London-based singer/songwriter. In her new single, Break It, she talks about falling for someone’s potential rather than their reality, a situation that can certainly complicate your life. The lyrics are relatable, as we have all, at some point, idealized someone more than necessary.
Regarding sound, the song takes inspiration from iconic figures such as Britney Spears, Madonna, and Lady Gaga. Shimmering synths, polished electronic production, and a bold chorus give it a familiar Y2K spirit while keeping one foot firmly in contemporary pop.
