Olivia Prado, originally from the Bay Area in California and now living in Los Angeles, combines the nostalgia of pop music from the early 2000s with the intimacy and groove of contemporary R&B. She releases her new single, Up n Down. It features beautifully layered vocals and a beat that bounces back and forth nicely. The chorus serves as a highlight with its catchiness.
Prado wrote Up n Down while dancing around her apartment. She wanted to create something that makes you feel confident and empowered without trying too hard. To her, it feels cool, stylish, and unapologetically feminine.
