Some people meditate. Some people go to therapy. Miya Zawa puts on her headphones, closes her eyes, and disappears into a whole different universe. Her new single Headphones is essentially a field recording of exactly that feeling: the world falls silent, the bass takes over, and reality reveals itself in a polite way.
I think the production here sounds awesome, a bit Charli XCX-esque but still unique enough. This is proven especially during the chorus. The layered vocal approach works too and can be described as iconic.
