Eyelar’s Slip marks the beginning of a fresh chapter and the entry point for her upcoming album, The Promise of Chaos. The song explores the struggle between appearing confident and feeling overwhelmed on the inside. Eyelar describes how she hides her emotions, brushes things aside, and lives in a constant fight-or-flight state, all connected by the fear of losing control.
I love Slip‘s sound, which blends pop with electronica. Although it doesn’t necessarily become very cinematic, it still has a captivating quality. I’m particularly fond of the way the outro unfolds. The vocals are sincere all the way through.
