Rising star JAKI BLUE releases The Love You’ve Been Given, the title track from her debut EP. It follows her experience of opening herself up to someone despite knowing that their circumstances may not have aligned perfectly. As she lets her walls come down, there’s a bit of uncertainty in knowing where the relationship might lead, but also a willingness to embrace what’s happening rather than overthink it.
The arrangement here is beautiful, with warm, emotionally rich folk textures. The vocals meet expectations; they have a rawness you don’t often hear.
