Rising singer-songwriter Noelle Harlow releases her new single, Heartbreak’s Anonymous. It follows the pattern of repeatedly falling for the wrong person, opening with the confession, “Hey, my name is Noelle…” before inviting you into a world of sessions, steps, chips, therapists, and the unforgettable refrain, “Heartbreak’s Anonymous, open 24/7.” The lyrics are amazingly written, in my opinion.
Noelle shares, “I had the title Heartbreak’s Anonymous for over a year before I wrote the song. It came from all the conversations I kept having with friends asking themselves ‘Why do I always pick the wrong person?’ I loved the idea of treating heartbreak like a support group because it felt painfully honest.”
Heartbreak’s Anonymous is sonically most comparable to early Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, and Madison Beer. It’s filled with memorable touches, including a left-of-center saxophone solo that injects a burst of personality at exactly the right moment.
