Last month, Minneapolis shoegaze band Lana Leone shared their glimmering single Starshine, which talks about longing for closeness when you’re separated from someone you love so much. It’s impossible not to be captivated by the lyrics.
Starshine sounds iconic. It starts in a hazy, dreamlike space before gradually gathering momentum and reaching a more intense climax. Amidst swirling layers of guitars and reverb, Alana Christen’s gentle vocals call out to the night sky, asking to be guided home.
