Rising star Cyrena Wages shares her new single Hate Yourself, a sharp take on hearing someone from your past has moved on, only to think: good for you, now live with everything you did. The lyrics find humor in that slightly petty satisfaction, putting aside the need for revenge or an apology and surrendering to the freedom of simply leaving someone to face themselves.
I love the production here, as it sounds nostalgic and inventive at the same time. The vocals are exceptionally powerful in their delivery. You’ll be enchanted by them.
