The talented artist Tess Posner has released recently her new single New Angels, a track with an impressive story. In 2013, Tessa saw a man killed on a sidewalk in broad daylight. He was holding hands with an 8 year old boy with a backpack. The boy screamed so loud, so deep, that it sounded like the universe was being ripped open. The news never reported the murder and Tessa never knew their names.
Tessa wrote New Angels as a response to this event and several others (including the 2018 Camp Fire) and contemplating how we can face major societal and environmental challenges that are looming in front of us without losing hope.
Without any doubt I can say that New Angels has also a convincing sound. Tessa her vocals sound dynamic and know to hold on your attention until the last second. Moreover, the uplifting melodies create an innovative soundscape filled with dynamic musical elements. Furthermore, the rhythms are amazing and have a unique construction.
