The talented Mariah Belgrod is back with her new single Lie to Me, a song with an amazing pop sound. I adore the catchy melodies which will stick in your mind within a few seconds. Besides, Mariah’s vocal performance is sensational. She knows exactly how to capture attention until the last note. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic chorus!
The lyrics are, as expected, very powerful. Lie to Me was written to empower women in romantic & physical relationships by flipping the ‘damsel in distress’ archetype on its head. The protagonist in this song is smart enough to know when she’s being lied to, yet confident enough to know her worth and to do what she wants.
Mariah has also made a music video for Lie to Me. The visuals are grandiose and showcase multiple locations where you can see Mariah perform.
Lie to Me is a brilliant piece of music, so be sure to stream it as soon as possible and feel free to sing/dance along while listening!
