Sad Girl is part of Paloma Pendharkar’s debut EP For Me, and it is a brilliant piece of music. I adore the quirky electro-pop melodies which sound grandiose. Besides, Paloma’s vocals know to shine until the last note. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the innovative rhythms!
Speaking about the track, Paloma says: ”This is a song about the avoidance of feeling things. Sometimes, when you’re tired of being super sad or super angry about life (climate change, relationships, social issues…), you just want to forget that you have feelings. The use of cleaner synth sounds creates a video game-like feel.”
