With Five Foot Everything, March Fry pays tribute to Dolly Parton, whose wit, grace and fierce intelligence have inspired generations. Parton has always had a way of being open and honest without giving everything away. Her humour, sharp mind and charm made her a familiar face, yet there was always a private side she kept for herself. Behind the rhinestones was a woman who knew exactly who she was and never stopped being herself.
For Fry, the song comes from a deeply personal place. She expresses her love and admiration for Parton, remembering the courage she gave her to keep dreaming and follow her own path.
Five Foot Everything features beautiful instrumentation, which builds up beautifully to a striking chorus and magical outro. Fry’s vocals are iconic. She knows how to give each note an extra punch.
Five Foot Everything needs to be a part of your playlist. Check it out below!
