Your Girl Pho, the sassy and fun stage persona of Phoebe Gunson, brings sweet jazz pop vibes that numerous producers are lining up to collaborate with. Her recent colabs include Calling with Ukiyo which clocked up over 3million streams on Spotify and over 500k views on Youtube, and Stop By with Mexico City duo Tayrell which saw her tour Mexico in April of 2018 performing on the main stage at Festival Vaiven along with a string of headline shows.

Don’t Wanna is Pho’s new single and it sounds amazing. I really like the innovative groovy melodies which showcase many artistic insights. Moreover, the chorus is very powerful. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the sublime vocals and dynamic elements!

Lyrically, Pho knows to deliver. The single plays on the concept of answering and worshiping no-one but yourself, “see me at the top – don’t tell me what’s up”. It dallies into thoughts of God as a woman, what it means to identify as a feminist in the current social climate, and how these ideas can interweave and be completely alienating to one another.

Pho has made incredibly good music, Don’t Wanna is captivating until the last second. Be sure to stream it as soon as possible!
