When sibling duo Tova and Sixten Strandell now are in preparation to release their debut album, it is with a sort of new perspective on their music. The pair have been working on their writing, aiming to find something that with one word can be described as melancholy, but at the same time playful and honest.
Slip is Strandells’ new single and it sounds amazing. I really like the crystal clear vocals which create grandiose landscapes. Besides, the melodic construction shows thoughtful artistic choices. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the powerful chorus!
On the lyrics Strandells say: ”The song’s message is about the story of a relationship where the love for one another has been an intense burning flame that abruptly turned to ashes. You lose yourself in the situation but later realize that it’s all just a phase that won’t last forever.”
Slip has all the elements of a modern gem, so make sure to stream it as soon as possible!
