Molly Hammar is a 22-year-old Swedish artist with an enormous voice. She grew up in a family of jazz music, with both her parents still touring as a freelance jazz musicians.
Shortcuts (I can’t wait) is Molly’s new single and it sounds awesome. I adore the soft trickle of piano keys and laid-back R&B melodies. Besides, Molly’s vocals are grandiose, she sings with so much power. Furthermore, I also like the construction of the chorus!
On the single Molly says: ”I’m so tired of not being a superstar. I said that to my songwriters, and that’s how Shortcuts was born. Shortcuts is about all the shortcuts you can take towards fulfilling your dreams and the struggle I think everyone faces when you have big dreams and want to achieve them. All the pressure that comes with it, the frustration, the longing. I’ve learned that taking the long road always pays off in the end, if you want something that’s gonna last. Both career wise and in life. It’s a frustration anthem in the most beautiful way.”
You can say without any doubt that Molly has made modern art, Shortcuts showcases so many creative and artistic expressions. Start streaming it as soon as possible and feel free to sing along while listening!
