Caiine’s past is a tale of horrors. She’ll take you on a journey through the ups and the downs – and she knows the downs well. Caiine’s voice has been compared to Nina Simone, Tracy Chapman and Lauren Hill. In 2017 she partnered with her current manager and producer going on to release 2 singles in 2018 both of which receiving support from BBC Introducing.
Subdivide is Caiine’s new single and it sounds amazing. I really like the powerful vocals. Besides, the melodies are impressive. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the uplifting chorus!
Speaking about the track, Caiine says: ”Subdivide is about a relationship, but it’s more about the relationship you have with yourself. When you build yourself up from the deepest low and you realise that the “growth” you thought you’d achieved was fragile, like you built the foundations in a sinking city and how it’s so easy to look back at where you were and feel tempted just to give up again, because what’s the point? But you’re fighting it and it hurts and you’re trying to sever that connection you still have with your old self and do some actual growing. It’s like a love-hate relationship with yourself.”
