Born in Tokyo and raised in both London and Tokyo by her Japanese mother and American father, Midori Jaeger is a cultural melange, making a name for herself in the London music scene. After taking a degree in classical cello at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Midori has performed as a band member with the likes of Ex:Re, Jocelyn Pook, Joseph Lawrence & the Garden, Seven Eyes and Heather Nova, and on BBC Radio London, BBC Radio 3, Basique Officiel TV in Paris, and MOMA (Das Erste) in Cologne.
Breeze is Midori’s vibrant debut single as a solo artist and it sounds amazing. I really like the dulcet vocals. Besides, the pizzicato cello riffs are unique. Furthermore, I am also a big fan of the dynamic elements!
On the single, Midori says: ”Lyrically, Breeze is rooted in images exploring my own feelings of being closed in, stuck, creatively stagnant, and longing for the release of nature, of breaking away from old habits, hang-ups, fixations, and finding that breath of fresh air in an increasingly polluted world. I wanted to record the musicians all playing in the room together, to create a raw vibe brimming with the spontaneity and vitality of nature.”
You can say without any doubt that Midori has made modern art, Breeze is a masterpiece. Start streaming it as soon as possible!
Do not hesitate and add Breeze to your playlist(s).
