Norii is a 21-year-old native San Diegan.

She recently released her debut single So It Goes.

The song has a unique quality. I like the powerful vocals. Besides, the hooks are memorable. Furthermore, I am also a fan of the piano melodies and uplifting elements.

Lyrically, Norii delivers. Her writing skills are impressive. So It Goes captures the moment of impact in a long-overdue breakup. Realizing she’s the bad guy in the situation, Norii owns the role and twists the knife, breaking up with her partner in a cold So It Goes.

Speaking about the track, the artist says: ”When I finished writing So It Goes last year, it was the first time I believed in my work without needing someone else to convince me it was good. Given the fact that I’m a personified puffball of neuroses, that’s a huge deal! I think I like it so much because it lays out this really tough lesson I needed to learn about myself. As the song demonstrates, I used play along with narratives that didn’t serve me as a way to shove my personal emotional turmoil into the periphery. Blatantly unsustainable, I’d always end up boiling over and blowing everything/everyone around me up in flames. Weird pairing of analogies. Anyway. Point is, while So It Goes is a pretty classic breakup song on its surface, I like to think of it as a breakup with my own destructive behaviors. This is the first original song that I fell in love with, so it feels right that this is the first song I’m releasing. Hope you agree! Aiming for your soul with a 4mm margin of error!”

Norii is a rising superstar. Her art has so much depth. The song deserves to be heard.
