Originally a visual artist, G.Smith started producing when she needed to fill her videos and animations with sound. She began creating elaborate soundscapes, recording things like her washing machine, chopping up sounds from the street, her voice, and more. Eventually those soundscapes became songs. She continues to create the visual elements to her works well.
All The World’s A Riot is G.Smith’s new single.
The song has a surreal quality to it. I like the pop rhythms. Besides, the vocals are sublime. Furthermore, I’m also a fan of the uplifting elements and amazing harmonies.
Lyrically, G.Smith delivers. Her words are golden.
Speaking about the track, she says: ”This song is about sticking together when times get hard, on both a personal scale and a larger scale. The song is appropriately named All The World’s A Riot because of the current climate, and it’s an ode to people being there for one another.”
