Speaking about the track, the artist says: ”SELFISH is about taking every judgement I’ve been afraid of hearing about myself and embracing it. Last year, I was single for the first time since I was 17 but I still made decisions like my ex was around. I edited my social media carefully and carried around a lot of guilt and thought I deserved to feel bad for trying to move on. I didn’t know how to get myself out of that headspace so I wrote the song I wished I was strong enough to sing.”
ÊMIA’s music connects with people. She makes real art.
The song is definitely worth a listen. It deserves 5 stars.
