American Singer songwriter John Turri’s new single, entitled Like the Sun, is a must-listen. It has real depth to it. He creates a smooth sound filled with sublime vocals and soothing grooves.
Like the Sun came out of a time in which John felt not taken seriously. I think we can all relate to being belittled at some point or another. As most will listen to this song and think it is a wholesome soulful love song (which Turri loves this reality) this is actually not what it is about. In the pre chorus, you will hear the line “I don’t want to be a part of this” it’s this line that was the catalyst for the entire tune.
Turri paints realism. All the lyrics are honest and raw. Some interesting work.
