Eighteen year old independent artist Ava Dallasis is from the small ski-town of Bethel, Maine. She releases her second single, Portland Girls. The vocals are exceptionally bright, and rich in tone. They soar over some brilliant guitar work.
Regarding the track, Ava says: ”This song is about comparing yourself to the impossible beauty standard of girls on social media; specifically Pinterest. The girls on that app are the beauty standard themselves as girls look to Pinterest for outfits, room inspiration, workout routines, healthy habits and more. I replaced “Pinterest girls” with Portland Girls because it’s much easier to code how you feel when making something public.”
Many elements of the story will be relatable to people. Excellently written from a lyrical perspective. Listen below!
