Regarding the track, Christina says: ”Not Even Dating is about feeling like you’re going through a breakup when you weren’t even in a relationship. Aka the worst feeling ever. It’s about getting mixed signals and being confused, and realizing you’re mourning something that wasn’t even really there in the first place. It’s a sassy song on the outside, but the situation is actually painful.”
