What are your thoughts on Eurovision Song Contest 2021? I enjoyed watching it. Dutch singer-songwriter Jeangu Macrooy performed Birth of a New Age unparalleled, making me so proud. The fact that he only placed 23rd in the ranking doesn’t matter. Macrooy showed that you can overcome any obstacle. ”Yu no man broko mi” is Surinamese for “you can’t break me”. Thanks for representing multiculturalism Jeangu, as well as making music that comes directly from the heart.
The runner-up, Baba Pravi, with Volia, was another contestant that I found to be particularly amazing. Hearing this chanson will hopefully inspire more people to dive into French music. Manizha, Efendi, and VICTORIA are also talented acts worth mentioning.
Even if you don’t live in any of the participating countries, I suggest watching the Grand Final on YouTube. During the Eurovision Song Contest, artists can express themselves freely. Music is celebrated in such a cool way there.
