JAYNIE is a singer-songwriter from Sweden who made her solo debut a few months ago. Last Friday, she released Defenses. This EP includes six excellent songs to listen to. All That Glitters Isn’t Gold has an original sound that makes it stand out. The catchy chorus and up-tempo instrumental will keep your attention.
All That Glitters Isn’t Gold is almost like a tribute to the early 2000’s as she mentions old TV shows like The Cribs and The Hills as a way to describe how superficial things can be. Regarding the track, JAYNIE comments: ”I’ve always been angry with the way our world is built up, but for some reason I didn’t understand that I’m also a part of it. It’s sad that we are pushed to believe that success and money is all that matters to make you happy, but then you get depressed when your bubble bursts and you’re faced with the truth of the bitter reality. I want to be happy with where I am today and the people close to me and not take that for granted, because it’s so easy to forget how precious the time we have right now is.”
JAYNIE consistently brings innovation to the music scene. All That Glitters Isn’t Gold is a fun pop bop. Check it out below!
