Recently, Mackenzie Leighton unveiled her debut EP, Fleuriste. It includes funky pop song, Florist By Day. Fresh synths are accompanied by groovy bass lines and crisp vocals that fit the style of the music perfectly. In particular, I like the chorus, since you can easily hum along with it.

Fleuriste marks a turning point for the emerging artist Mackenzie Leighton with her multiple faces : florist by day, musician by night, American first, French at heart. Her realities merge in this new project where more than half of the songs are now written in French. She addresses the reality of being a musician during a period without concerts, but always with optimism and hope.
