jerlov is a 22-year-old Swedish singer-songwriter. Music she creates contains playful and transparent lyrics. one not two, her debut single, can be the next summer anthem. Influences from the likes of Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, and 1975 can be heard in its production. I like the catchy melody and bassline. Immediately, listeners will appreciate the sound and dance along.
one not two talks about being alone, but feeling comfortable in not needing someone. And that it might just be a bore dragging someone else around all the time. Who has the time and energy for that really? jerlov explains: “It’s easy to think that if you’d just find someone all your problems would be gone and you’d feel complete. But maybe that’s only because other people taught you that. Being single comes with a lot of ups and down and I wanted to mirror that in one not two. It’s a single-anthem for everyone who’s tired of people complaining about their non-existing lovelife.”
jerlov shows outstanding artistry here. Due to her unique and creative style, she’s one of the most promising up-and-coming artists today. Check out one not two below!
