Stupid Lucky, fronted by Tay Pearlstein, emerges on the Brooklyn indie pop rock scene at the intersection of sapphic longing and angst. They recently released their new single, bedlam baby. The song expresses the temptation to let our demons take the wheel again. Even when we’ve learned our lessons, a part of us still misses the insanity and chaos of the bad old days.
bedlam baby slowly gathers steam, building into something increasingly powerful. The guitars and drums give the sound its soul. The vocals are impactful, especially during the bridge, where they shine the brightest.
The bedlam baby music video tells the story of a toxic relationship with our inner and outer selves. We meet Stupid, a rockstar, and Lucky, her captive, living in separate worlds divided by a mirror. Neither is content with their lot, and when the balance of power changes, their uneasy coexistence becomes explosive.
Check out bedlam baby below! Believe me, you’ll be impressed by it.
