Miranda Joan has received praise from publications such as LADYGUNN, Earmilk, The Line of Best Fit, and Rolling Stone India. She has come out with a new single, Dans Ma Poche. A short, fun song that gets the crowd dancing. The instrumental provides a nice ambiance for the engaging lyrics.
An inside joke about Miranda’s French alter ego, who’s a DJ named NUNI, led to the creation of this song. She loves to party and eat French pastry and in this song she’s essentially listing things that’re in her pocket (family, friends, pastries etc); the things that one wishes to carry with them wherever they go,” according to the songwriter.
She continues, “It turned into this electronic bop when producer J3P0 got his hands on it. I was born in Montréal and am an avid pastry consumer so I’m excited to finally put out a track in French that’s also a nod to one of the great passions in my life: baked goods. This song is an ode to every croissant loving, pastry packing, dance floor crusher! May you eat well and party on.”
Miranda’s style takes cues from several different eras. Dans Ma Poche will certainly be popular among fans. Its segments are generally catchy, increasing the level of accessibility.
The nostalgic visual accompanying Dans Ma Poche makes the song even cooler. Director Alexandra Martin translated the concept into something visually stunning. Check it out below as well!
