Palmaria, hailing from a charming Italian town and now thriving in London, is the dynamic duo of Giulia and Francesco. They’ve been steadily making waves with their distinctive sound, and their latest single, Ocean, beautifully captures their creative heartfelt approach to music. Right from the start, it envelops you in a world all its own. The song features a rich tapestry of organic sounds, while the captivating vocals infuse the production with honest emotion, crafting an immersive and unforgettable experience.
Ocean takes inspiration from the legend of Colapesce, a mythical tale of a man who transforms into a fish, sacrificing his life on land to save his island. While rooted in fantasy, the song also brings attention to a very real issue: the growing problem of ocean pollution. Palmaria explains: “We wanted to give voice to our frustration; it’s been hurtful to see what is happening, especially growing up in a town almost surrounded by the sea. The ocean has always been such an important element in our lives, inspiring and healing us everytime we were in need, so it’s now our turn, we have to protect it.”
