24-year-old French singer-songwriter Alba James, now based in Sweden, delivers something truly special with her latest track, Moonchild. The song is soothing and musically impressive, having a brilliant ukulele accompaniment that glows continually. Equally enchanting are the bright backing vocals, which bring the lyrics to the front. Together, these elements make Moonchild an exceptional and memorable piece.
Here are Alba’s words about the track: ”I wanted to write about the way I see my lover, in the form of a fairytale. I produced it last winter both at home and in studio. I got inspired by the moonlight shining on the snow by the window (I live in Sweden where it gets very snowy). I sing about how love makes you see your lover in a surreal way.”
