Yoji, born in London and raised in Suffolk, is a soulful pop singer and pianist who has won multiple songwriting awards. Her new single, Talk To My Younger Self, came out today. It has a retro sound that gets you moving. The lyrics are conveyed engagingly. Their positive tone and inspiring nature make them all the more notable.
Yoji’s song writing process was therapeutic, she hopes that her younger listeners can find some reassurance through their challenges and show that overcoming hurdles can make you stronger and be an opportunity for development.
Talk To My Younger Self incorporates influences from artists such as Destiny’s Child, Brandy, Mariah Carey, and TLC. In addition to being familiar, this production is also inventive. That’s why it’s so great. Check out the audio below!
