Nalan is ambitious, and the music she makes reflects that. A ethereal R&B soundscape accompanies her performance on Bed of Tears. I’m impressed by the singer-songwriter’s ability to sing with such precision. Some more expressive melodic aspects are present in the chorus. This production seems to have a timeless quality.
Bed of Tears describes a feeling of powerlessness, the doubt about one’s own existence, told like an abstract, fantastic film. It illustrates Nalan’s poetic talent to the maximum. Check out the audio below!
