Violet Lewis has always been someone who wears her heart on her sleeve. And in her second EP, Loose Lips, she opens up about her experiences with anxiety as well as other things. In a society that values stoicism and strength, it can be difficult to admit our vulnerabilities—but Violet is proof that there are benefits to doing so. When we share our thoughts, we connect with each other on a more profound level. We create space for empathy and understanding. It also allows us to manage our emotions better. In Violet’s case, creating music about her struggles has turned out to be incredibly rewarding for her.
By being sincere and direct, Violet feels like she’s breaking down the barriers between herself and her audience. She wants people to see her as a real person, not just a musician. Loose Lips deals with topics such as relationships and inner growth, while giving an honest depiction of Violet’s outlook on life.
