In her new single, All My Plants Are Dead, rising singer-songwriter Natalie Carr elaborates on the fact that she’s wasting so much time on things that don’t matter. This is a common concern among young people, who are often bombarded with an overwhelming number of choices and responsibilities. Carr wrestles with the idea of what it means to give her attention and effort to something–and whether or not it’s worth it in the end. The song is a helpful reminder that it’s okay to be restless, to question things, and to search for meaning.
