When you’re crushing on someone, it feels like you’re walking on clouds. You’re constantly checking your phone to see if their name has popped up. This person seems to be the one you’ve been looking for your whole life, and you just can’t get them out of your head.
On the other hand, there’s also a part of you that knows it’s a bit ridiculous to be constantly romanticizing someone who probably isn’t even thinking about you. After all, what are the chances that they like you too? It’s, however, hard to let go of a crush. No matter how much you try to rationalize things, they always resurface in your mind.
Mea’s new single, Insane, depicts the feeling of being in the infatuation period of having a crush. You’ve no idea what’s going to happen, but you’re excited nonetheless. You’re fueled by the possibilities and full of optimism. The song is an anthem for anyone who’s ever been in love – and serves as a reminder that it’s okay to be a little bit insane when you’re convinced you’ve found your soul mate.
Insane doesn’t disappoint sonically. Marc O’Rell’s production is brilliant and provides just enough background noise for Mea’s powerful vocals. The end result is a beautifully harmonized song that wouldn’t sound the same without either component.
