SABS is a South Indian artist and mechanical engineer born and raised in Maryland in the United States. The lyrics of her new single, therapist, address the frustration and emotional strain of being relied upon as a constant source of support and guidance by someone who only reaches out when they’re struggling. SABS outlines her constraints firmly, noting that she’s not equipped to take on the role of a therapist or solve all of the other person’s problems.
therapist has wonderful synths as a foundation. Electronic textures are placed above it. The vocals are delicate, reaching for the sky with much charm. You’ll be dazzled at how detailed the chorus sounds.
