The lyrics of Leanna Oki’s new single, I taught you how to dream, are definitely worth taking a closer look at. They tell the story of an ex who left her in the dark, despite the fact that she was always there for him. Leanna sarcastically wishes this person luck in finding someone like her.
What does this say about the relationship they once had? As Leanna points out, her ex was never truly happy until he met her. She gave him a reason to dream, but now that they’re not together anymore, he’ll have to find someone else to fill that role.
Despite the emotional nature of I taught you how to dream, Leanna manages to keep her voice light. This helps to prevent the song from becoming too sad. We think you’ll be captivated by its sound.
