It’s always a little nerve-wracking when you finally confess your feelings to someone you’ve been friends with for a long time. You’re not sure how they’re going to react—will they be happy? Will they suddenly start avoiding you?
In her debut single, Slowly, Bri Oglu explores the aftermath of that confession. It’s a song about the uncertainty of the future, and the fear that comes with taking a chance on something new. But it’s also a song about hope, and the possibility of romance blossoming in the face of adversity.
Compared to other contemporary pop songs, Slowly stands out for its production. The soundscape is lush and layered, and it provides the perfect backdrop for Bri’s vocals. She sounds incredible—clear and concise, with a powerful tone that really shines through on the chorus.
