Anjulie’s first trip to Mexico City was an eye-opening experience. She became fascinated by the culture and the enthusiasm of the people she met. Everywhere she went, she felt this amazing energy.
It was at Pere George’s house that Anjulie wrote Ordinary People with singer-songwriter Menny Flores. Its lyrics capture the essence of Mexico City—the vibrancy, the colors, the textures.
The track sounds a bit sentimental in some ways because it incorporates traditional Latin instruments. But there are also hints of pop music here. This gives the sound such a unique quality. Ajulie and Menny’s vocals blend together nicely, forming one harmonious tone.
