The lyrics are written in a way that really makes you feel like you’re right there in the thick of things. And that’s by design—Mawness wanted to create a song that would hold you in its grip.
Carbon Monoxide sounds great, in my opinion. It perfectly blends synths and bass, giving the production plenty of drive. Mawnes’ vocals are polished to a high degree and sound confident. It’s what makes you want to click replay forever.
We can conclude that Mawness is one of this year’s most promising artists. She doesn’t shy away from challenging herself creatively. This deserves nothing but praise.
