It’s been a little over two years since the pandemic began, and in that time, it’s pushed a lot of people to their limit. Brianne from Vancouver Duo Fionn reached that limit when she wrote Waves.
Brianne felt like every day, the lockdown restrictions got tighter and tighter, and she just couldn’t take it anymore. She was so frustrated with the lack of freedom and the sense that everything was out of her control.
But something amazing happened. After Brianne wrote Waves, she started to have a bit more confidence in herself. The song was a way for her to express her emotions, and it helped her to start moving forward.
As you listen to Waves, it becomes increasingly evident that this song is a turning point for Fionn. They don’t want to be boxed in by labels or expectations anymore; they just want to make music that reflects who they are.
