I was fortunate to witness Niklas Paschburg’s performance in The Hague in 2021, and it’s true, he’s one of the most original post-classical artists around. His style doesn’t seem to have limits and never falls flat. He put out Dark Side Of The Hill last Thursday, which features singer-songwriter lùisa.
It started as a solo piano piece, but Niklas later added catchy pop rhythms to give the sound more punch. lùisa’s angelic vocals support the instrumentals incredibly well.
I already have Dark Side Of The Hill saved to my playlist, and I just can’t get enough of it. In my opinion, it reflects an extraordinary level of inventiveness. Niklas should definitely record more songs like this one in the future.
