Rising pop darling Lorelei Marcell captures one of her saddest moments in a upbeat yet refreshingly nostalgic collaboration with fellow pop star Hardcastle. Flashbacks features angst-driven guitars that are beautifully complemented by catchy melodies. The vocals ooze character and speak directly to the listener.
Flashbacks came to fruition after Lorelei bought concert tickets to see one of her favorite bands play in Silverlake. Struggling to move on from her ex-partner, she tried to incorporate more self care and solo activities into her routine. But when she arrived at the venue, a strong feeling of loneliness took hold of her, prompting her to leave before the main act had even begun. Despite being surrounded by people, she had never felt more lonely.
