San Diego-based independent artist amm debuted her new single, I’m so Tired, last Friday. It speaks to the expectations, pressures, and demands of life. Nowadays, it seems like everyone has an idea of what’s best for us and what we should do.
When amm wrote I’m so Tired, she was surrounded by people expressing their thoughts about her job, artistry, relationship, and the majority of her life decisions. Most of them were just trying to be helpful, not realizing the best way to show support would be to let her figure it out for herself. This song is amm’s way of acknowledging that others always have something to say, but ultimately she makes the final decision.
I’m so Tired sounds striking from a musical standpoint. Elements such as the guitar add melody to the sound and compliment the vocals wonderfully. amm’s performance is brimming with character and engages from the get-go.
