For Sunliight, German electronic producer Moglii (630k monthly listeners) teams up with German Amsterdam-based singer/songwriter Mulay (previous EQUAL GSA cover artist). Its experimental production whisks you away to a realm you’ve never been to before, while the guitar provides a distinct texture that heightens the emotion and intensifies the music. Mulay’s powerful yet vulnerable vocals captivate and accentuate the painfully honest lyrics.
Sunliight is about accepting yourself for who you are instead of conforming to societal expectations or changing yourself to please others. It was written on a hazy summer morning when Moglli and Mulay were staying in a little cottage on the edge of a forest. The stunning landscape inspired the song’s hook.
