Deer Fellow continuously innovates with their indie folk-pop sound. Filtered is filled with interesting instrumentation that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. Rich strings and dynamic guitar drive the sound. The vocals are well suited to the musical background and feel sincere.
The duo wrote Filtered in an attempt to explore the toxicity of social media and the long-term effects of having a front row seat to way too much of people’s lives. The lyrics carry significant meaning, based on my interpretation.
