Canadian artist Dempsey Bolton debuts his new single, With My Thoughts. It’s a funky mid-tempo bop with snappy drums and thick bass. The deep groove rides along with cheeky indie vocals before gradually turning into a dark pensive groove. I love the catchy soundscape here; it makes you feel immersed. The song remains memorable as a result.
With My Thoughts tells the story of how it feels not to be able to enjoy a social situation or to free yourself from thoughts. Even though you desire to be present in the present moment, your mind won’t let you. There are times when this can be extremely frustrating.
